1 John 5:1-21
In 1 John 5, the apostle John offers believers a firm anchor in the midst of spiritual storms: the fundamentals of the faith. He reminds the church that there are truths we can know with certainty—Jesus is God, believers have eternal life, God hears and answers prayer, and true Christians do not practice sin. Amid the confusion sown by false teachers, John calls the church to stand fast in these assurances and reject the idols of deception. This lesson encourages us to find stability not in the shifting tides of culture or doctrine, but in the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
