From a Father to His Son – Part 5

Pro. 24:1-9

Solomon had seen countless examples of that one sinful man or woman’s actions undermining wisdom.   And as we return to the next 5 statements, Solomon seems to see that future ahead for his own son.  For that reason, he advises his son that true wisdom comes through seeing the danger ahead of you.  In particular, that would be shown by being able to go against the grain when you need to—knowing how to win wars, what to build with, and what to seek above all else.  Today, that same advice is needed.  For there are times that our instincts are pointing in the exact wrong direction.  There are times when we need to learn the same lesson Rehoboam should have learned before it was too late!
