Immanuel

Matthew 1:18-23; Isaiah 7:10-17

This sermon explores why the title “Immanuel—God With Us” was profoundly significant in both Isaiah’s prophecy and Matthew’s account of Jesus’ birth. It traces how God’s presence appeared throughout Scripture—from walking in Eden, to dwelling in the tabernacle, to guiding Moses and Joshua—culminating in the incarnate Christ who fully embodied God’s presence among His people. The sermon emphasizes that Jesus fulfills every promise made to the house of David, showing that God has always remained faithful, present, and actively working for His people. Ultimately, believers today experience “God with us” through Christ’s indwelling presence, restoring fellowship lost since the Garden.
